Yaacob Ibrahim Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Dr. Yaacob bin Ibrahim, (Jawi: يعقوب بن إبراهيم; born 3 October 1955) is a former Singaporean politician. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he is previously Minister for Communications and Information, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs and Minister in charge of Cyber Security. A Member of Parliament (MP) since 1997, he was the Minister for Community Development and Sports from 2003 to 2004, as the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources from 2004 to 2011, and as the Minister for the Information, Communications and the Arts from 21 May 2011 to 1 November 2012. He declined not to participate for the Singapore Presidential Elections in 2017.

Former Cabinet Minister Yaacob Ibrahim had to apologize for his remark in a Facebook post that has drawn ire from online users for being “insensitive”.

The post, which was put up on Sunday by the Member of Parliament for Jalan Besar Group Representation Constituency, was about the inconveniences that residents in his area had experienced due to foreign domestic workers and foreign workers congregating until late on Sunday, at an open space next to Kallang MRT Station.

Dr Yaacob, who put up the post along with a picture of the empty area, wrote: “But it takes a virus to empty the space.”
